Art Vancouver
Lisa Wolfin is a long-time Vancouverite, a graduate of Eric Hamber High School. Her creative road has included design awards at FIDM in Los Angeles, a two year apprenticeship at Christian Dior in Paris and her own Wear Wolfin clothing line for women. As a curator and lifelong painter, Wolfin became excited about the idea of starting an International Art Fair in Vancouver. They do it in Basel, Miami, Hong Kong, London. Why not here?
Last year, Wolfin helmed the first Art!Vancouver, and this year they are on again. It is a great chance to meet a wide range of artists – some local, some visiting.
Here is a peek into a few paintings that struck us at the Preview last night. You can check out these and other paintings, sculptures and mixed media pieces until May 29th at the Vancouver Convention Centre under the Pan Pacific Hotel.
