In the meantime, The Sweet Swan of Avon suggests that you immerse yourself in all four of his dramas at Vanier Park this summer. In this most unique of beachfront settings, Bard on the Beach – now in its 27^th season – is putting on Romeo & Juliet, The Merry Wives of Windsor, Pericles and Othello. This Shakespearean quartet will run on rotating evenings, in the red-tipped tents, until the end of September.

The talented Bard directors, cast, crew and Riotous Youth are guided, as ever, by Founding Artistic Director, Christopher Gaze. Here, we see a clip from Bard on the Beach’s 2016 Romeo and Juliet. It is directed by Kim Collier with Andrew Chown playing Romeo and Hailey Gillis as Juliet. Peek behind Pam Johnson’s Scenery and you will spy the beach.
