Call For Vancouver Artists
Are you an artist looking to put your mark on Vancouver? Spring is in the air, and there are all sorts of official bodies calling for artist input.
The City of Vancouver has a number of projects up for grabs, including the opportunity to bid on public murals and wrap designs to cover city Utility Boxes.
Meanwhile, the BC Children’s Hospital is asking Canadian artists to apply for the chance to have their artwork hung in the Teck Acute Care Centre. The Children’s Healing Experience Project could include more than 400 pieces of Canadian art. The artwork will be hung to comfort and engage the young patients and their families.
The Children’s Hospital committee will give preference to artists from BC and the Yukon. In celebrating the cultural and environmental diversity in our province, they are looking for different artistic themes for the different floors.
The Children’s Hospital is also looking for outdoor works, such as Cast bird sculptures for the Healing Garden.
