Coco et Olive
First, you come to Coco e Olive on Main for the food: the peppery cheese and fresh herb scones, the roasted tomato, goat cheese and basil quiche, the buttery shortbread. Do not even bother trying the goat cheese salad, unless you want to develop urgent cravings at inopportune times. If you are obsessed with tea, greetings fellow fanatic. Try the cardamom.
While you are waiting in line, you might notice the charmingly hodge-podge furniture and the local art installations. Once you sit down, you will hear people working together on assorted creative projects. Twice, I have been seated by two writers – my guess is a father and daughter – who were working on a children’s book together.
This homey cafe, at Main and 21st, is a great place for creative buzz and goat cheese.
