Tammy Hudgeon’s Studio
If you’ve been to a gallery that features Tammy Hudgeon’s glass work, you’ll remember the whimsy, the joyful colours, the attention to detail and the animal appreciation.
When you visit Hudgeon’s Gabriola Island studio, you see that same whimsy and joy, from the edge of the driveway to the deep of her back room. Carefully curated vignettes liven dark corners. On this second day of the Gabriola Thanksgiving Studio Tour, Hudgeon is warmly greeting visitors and answering questions about the animals she has created: Lucinda the Elephant, Alice the Chicken.
The award-winning Hudgeon was born in the Prairies. Self-taught, she now loves to travel and incorporate cross-cultural experiences into her work.
Here is a short – created by Jules Molloy – about Tammy, her work and her studio.
