Jamie Evrard 2020

‘”Making art is a way of taking possession,” says talented Vancouver artist Jamie Evrard, “a way of finding out how things really are, or perhaps of making them as I would like them to be. If a few days go by without my having drawn or painted, I become completely impossible.”

Evrard has created new floral paintings and water studies for On Reflection – an exhibit starting March 7th at Vancouver’s Bau-Xi Gallery. The collection does include her gorgeous, signature peonies. As she told us in a previous interview: “Peonies. They are total blousiness – loose, wanton and sexy. Oh my goodness.”

Oh my goodness, indeed.
