I’ve been doing it for so many years, there’s no turning back now.

My Dad was a car-dealer so I have learned the gift of the gab.

iv. The greatest challenges around doing this work are:
Staying focused, setting time aside to make new work and to not get sidetracked with my love of collecting ephemera, and celebrity autographs on Pez dispensers.

v. Creative childhood hobbies:
Counting money, watching hockey, and finding stray golf balls.

HB Beal Art in London Ontario with Joseph Hubbard’s class, Eric Metcalfe performance video class at Emily Carr.

viii. The biggest myth about this type of work is:
That you’re always making work in the studio, usually there are many other administrative, promotional and social things to do as an artist.

ix. Some proud career moments:
Recently, was featured on the New York City television newscast NY1 with my youngest son Henry, and soon to be interviewed by a journalist with NYPost.

Be persistent, keep costs low, and when you start doing well invest in real estate.
