Richmond Night Market

Night markets are a fun way to discover artisans, chefs and foods you won’t find easily on your average day in the city. Above, photographer Steven Wei has taken a beautiful shot of the Temple Street Night Market in Hong Kong.

In Metro Vancouver, we can dine and dawdle at the Richmond Night Market, now in its 17th year. Each summer weekend, the Night Market features over 200 retail stalls and, if you check out their Instagram, you’ll see how many of these vendors offer unique treats.

A recent post features a fitting Vancouver dessert: Rain Drop Cake.

Along with food, you’ll find games and entertainment ranging from DJs to dancers, singers and martial artists. Here’s a recent food tour around the Richmond Night Market from Ray Van Eng.

As fall looms, best to get to Richmond soon. The Night Market is scheduled for its yearly close on October 9th.

Happy eating and exploring!
