When you think of Vancouver, which images come to mind?

Mountains, oceans, markets, bridges, clocks. Visitors leave the city with thickets of photos and hard drives crammed with video clips.

There are the odd travellers, however, who prefer to revisit memories with their ears rather than their eyes. They use their phones not for pictures, but for recording sounds – birds circling the park, skiers exiting a lift, buskers playing the market.
