VPL Recording Studios
Do you have a digital project that you would like to take to the next level? Podcast, video or audio-recording? First episode of your new YouTube series?
Check out the Vancouver Public Library’s Inspiration Lab. It’s 7,500 square feet, it’s stocked with the latest recording technology and it’s free for use with a library card.
This downtown VPL lists all of the equipment they have available:
.
Note: the Lab is currently upgrading their ventilation, so certain areas are not open at this moment.
The library also offers a series of lab-related classes – registered and drop-in – on everything from sound and video recording, podcasting and green screen to editing, vacation brags, book cover design and promoting your project on social media.
These are tools and classes that would cost a great deal elsewhere. Some of the formal classes can get full, so sign up early. Free is good 🙂
.
While you’re contemplating which class you might take, enjoy the library’s new fireplace background, filmed at their Mount Pleasant Branch.
